At school they have just found the body of what is presumed to be the missing graduate student, in a wall. This is beyond shocking to me, and many of my friends and colleagues at school. There are many comments on the news about how unsafe New Haven is, which is really a shame, as Yale has taken great strides, even as since I've been there the last six years, to make the campus safe. As with any city one should be careful about where to be at certain times of the day, and being aware of your surroundings; this seems completely beyond that. It also seems too coincidental that her wedding was scheduled for this weekend...
My thoughts go out to her family.
