Written by a man?

Ok, back on the internet wagon.

MP alerted me to this website called GenderAnalyzer. The site boasts that it can guess if it is a woman or a man behind a blog, using data analysis and trained on real blogs.

We created Genderanalyzer out of curiosity and fun. It uses Artificial Intelligence to determine if a homepage is written by a man or woman. Behind the scene, a text classifier hosted over at uClassify.com has been trained on blogs written by men and women. In our lab it seems to works pretty well, we want to see how it performs on the web! We hope you like it!

So the user types in the URL of the website you want them to guess the gender of.

Now I love sites like this. I love when people do creative simple, entertaining things like this.

But...

We think http://xsquaredcurve.blogspot.com is written by a man (82%).

Then there is a poll, on the side about if it was correct in guessing the gender, and the results were split about 50-50. Weak. Boo.
