Oreos

There are few foods that are as addicting as OREOs for me.

Today I made the mistake of having a Sugar-free Oreo, and was sorely disappointed. Not even close to the same, although it tastes roughly like the Hydrox cookies my daycare served in elementary school. Roughly like a NON-OREO.

Anyway, so I thought to myself how great Oreos are and I wondered invented them. And I couldnt find out!

I googled Oreo inventor, and while 40,000 hits came up, including some details about a William A Turnier, who reformulated the modern Oreo to include the logo on the cookie, there were no specifics to be found. I even found recipes to make homemade Oreos on cooks.com.
